In 2015, the United Nations agreed upon a common agenda to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and to protect the planet. Since then, the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has become the point of reference.
71% of the business leaders plan to or already do engage with the SDGs. While some organizations have taken on the SDGs as a strategic challenge, adapting their business models and analyze their supply chains across economic, social and environmental impacts, others have simply used the SDGs for communication purposes, to align their activities with the international agenda on sustainability.
Currently, there exist several different approaches to aligning business models with the SDGs’ 17 goals and indicators developed by the UN-backed Inter-agency Expert Group.
GRI has developed a special certified training course to learn
- About the SDGs, what they are, how they set the global agenda for sustainable development and how they relate to governments and business actions.
- How to link the SDGs to the GRI Standards on both goal and target level
- Understand the method to integrate the SDGs into your reporting process in five practical steps.
This workshop is for experienced CSR reporters (preferably with a good knowledge of GRI) and CSR experts.
