RESPONSIBALL Forum launches website
Last week, on World Refugee Day, RESPONSIBALL launched the website for the Forum on Refugees and Sport.
The Forum is to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, on November 8, 2018. It will appeal to governing bodies, leagues, clubs, NGOs, UN agencies, and all those engaged with and interested in effectively addressing this topic.
65 million people have been forcibly ‘displaced’ from their homes – that equates to nine people in every 1,000 of the world’s population. While some countries are more affected than others, this forced migration has provoked global debate spanning social, cultural, economic, political and environmental plains.
Sport has been affected by, and can have an affect on, this global issue.
Join us later this year in Lausanne to listen to how challenges are being overcome by some of the leading organisations, and understand more about how organisations are aligning themselves to address this issue going forward.
